Stock Gifts

Gifts of publicly traded securities are a great way to support ASC’s mission.

ASC accepts donations of appreciated, publicly traded securities. The fair market value is tax deductible to the extent of the law. To make a gift of stock, instruct your broker with the details below and then complete the form below informing us of the gift.

ASC does not receive donor information with gifts of stock, so providing the following information helps ensure we acknowledge and credit your gift properly.

Stock Gift Transfer Instructions

Giving Cash:

Always reference the gift fund name ASC Operating – 4385 when transferring cash.

By ACH Transfer: Transfer assets directly from your account to ours.

To ensure timely processing, we strongly encourage the use of electronic payments. However, you may send a check to our office with the gift fund name ASC Operating – 4385 referenced in the memo line.

Giving Securities:

For the most efficient delivery of stock, please direct your broker to deliver to the ASC brokerage account, in partnership with Foundation For The Carolinas, at Charles Schwab.

Please note: Donor’s instructions to a broker to make a transfer are not sufficient to complete the gift. Please contact our Donor Operations team at 704.973.4529 or support@fftc.org prior to asset delivery to ensure proper and timely credit of your gift or to coordinate transfer of mutual fund shares.

Trade fees are charged by the broker and passed through to the receiving fund.
